Nan Thao

Nan Thao serves as a Program Analyst of Community Schools Initiative for Sacramento County Office of Education supporting the planning and implementation of Community Schools in the Capitol Area region. Nan began her career as a Program Manager for Expanded Learning programs and previously worked at Sacramento City Unified School District in partnership with the Center (Sacramento Chinese Community Service Center). In her role, Nan has developed and implemented high quality programs to meet the Quality Standards for Expanded Learning in California at the programmatic, staff, students, and family levels focused on elementary through high school as outlined by California Department of Education (CDE). Nan has a deep passion to ensure all students succeed and to design opportunities for all.

Nan is a child of immigrant parents with the passion to serve the community. Nan received her Bachelors in Liberal Studies from California State University, Sacramento and continued her education at California State University, Northridge with a Master in Public Administration, Public Policy and Leadership.
